How Does Folder Lock Password Protect Folders?

Want to know what the easiest and safest way to protect your data is? It is folder encryption and password protection. Step 1. Download and install Advanced Folder Encryption

Step 2. Add files/folders to password protect folders now!

This is the main window. Simply drag and drop files/folders in the window to lock folders and files.

There is another and easier way to encrypt folders. Right-click the folder and select the “Encrypt” menu.

Step 3. Input a password and select the security level to encrypt.

The default security level is “High”. You can set higher or lower strength for your special uses. If you want to completely hide a folder, check the “Hidden” option. When the folder encryption is finished, you can find the hidden folder from the file list of the main window.

Step 4. The Folder have been protected.

Step 5. Enter the password to open the file/folder.

[Browse] After decryption, the program will re-encrypt the file/folder as soon as it was closed.
[Temporary] The file/folder is unprotected temporarily and should be restored protection manually.
[Complete] Completely decrypt the file/folder.

You can set different passwords to protect each folder. This will help you password protect and lock folders for different uses, especially when there are several users on the same computer or you locked folders in removable devices such as USB drives. In case that you forget passwords and fail to open your locked folders, we strongly recommend you to save the passwords somewhere that can easily be found, in a notepad, for example.
