According to the report of TheVerge that Michigan house recently passed the House Bill 5523 which prevents employers and schools from asking login information for social networks such as Facebook and Twitter. In the past, when people are applying for a job, they might be required to attach a résumé with personal social network password and account.

This time the pass of this new bill in Michigan add credits and peace of mind foe people who are applying for jobs and students in school. Governor Rick Snyder who signed this Bill said that:” potential employees and students should be judged on their skills and abilities, not private online activity.”
The bill was passed with a vote of 180-0, and it will offer employees and students in school more freedom in protecting their privacy in social network account. This is not the first try for a single state to make an effort to protect employees from being asked for turning their personal social net work information to the employers. It was Maryland which was the first state to approve the similar bill in April, 2012. It was followed by Delaware, Illinois, and California soon.
