1.Create a disk :
To create a new disk follow these steps:
- Select the action: New Disk.
- Choose a name , a letter and a password.
- Click OK and you are done, the disk is created.
We recommend that the user enter a strong password that contains at least 8 characters. Strong passwords usually contain a combination of letters and numbers (alpha-numeric).
2.Open a Disk :
Three methods to open a disk.
- Double click a disk from the disks list.
- Right-click on the disk and select Open Disk.
- Use the hot-key(ALT+Disk Letter) for the Open Disk operation.
3.Advanced Settings - General Tab :

| Check this box if you want Private Disk to minimize to tray when Windows starts up. |
| Hide at system startup and display through hotkey : | |
| Allowing the user to run the program completely hidden to prevent other snoopers from even knowing it exists. |
| Show drive in Window Explorer after opening : | |
| The disk can be set up to be automatically explored in Windows Explorer after it has been opened. |
| Minimize to system tray when hit the close button : | |
| You can allow Control Panel to minimize when you click Close or Exit buttons. Set "Minimize to system tray when hit the close button" flag to allow minimizing. |
4.Set Private Disk login password :
If, as recommended, you enable password protection of Private Disk, anyone trying to access the software will be required to enter the correct password information. Password-protecting the operation of Private Disk prevents someone using the Private Disk software without your permission.
Follow these steps to set a password to access this program:

Click "Operations" in the main window.

Select "Login Password " from the pull-down menu.
- Type a password into the Password field.
- Confirm your password, by re-typing it into the Confirm field, and click OK.
*Leave the password field blank and click OK if you don't want to set password.
